Divorce Consult

Here is a list of all the documents you will need to bring with you to your initial consultation with us:

  1. If the case has already been filed, we will need copies of all court motions, orders, or notices of hearings, if any.
  2. If you and your spouse have already negotiated, drafted or signed any agreements, such as a property settlement agreement, a custody agreement, or a pre-nuptial agreement, we will need copies of those as well
  3. We will also need documentation for you and your spouse regarding income, expenses, assets and debts. These will include W2’s, 1099’s, year-end tax statements for any and all real estate and vehicles, bank statements, mortgage statements, loan statements and credit cards statements. We will need these documents from the last 3 years, or at least from the past calendar year. If you’re self-employed, we will need business records showing the income, assets and debts of the business, such as profit and loss statements, as well as all tax filings associated with the business.
  4. We will also need proof of any insurance policies, such as a rider document.
  5. We will need statements for all pensions, 401k’s, IRA’s or other retirement accounts held by the parties.
  6. We need recorded copies of the mortgage and deed for all real estate owned by the parties, as well as copies of the title to any and all vehicles owned by the parties.
  7. Finally, simply bring anything other documents you feel are relevant to helping us get a clear and accurate idea of your finances, debts, and liabilities.

Custody/Child Support Consult

Here is a list of all the documents you will need to bring with you to your initial consultation with us:

  1. We will need copies of all previous court motions, orders, or notices of hearings, if any, that have been filed.
  2. If you and the other party have already negotiated, drafted or signed any prior custody agreements or arrangements, we will need copies of those as well.
  3. We will also need documentation for you and the other party regarding income, expenses, assets and debts. These will include W2’s, 1099’s, year-end tax statements for any and all real estate and vehicles, bank statements, mortgage statements, loan statements and credit cards statements. We will need these documents from the last 3 years, or at least from the past calendar year. If you’re self-employed, we will need business records showing the income, assets and debts of the business, such as profit and loss statements, as well as all tax filings associated with the business.
  4. We will also need proof of any cost to provide work-related childcare for the child(ren).
  5. We will need proof of the cost to provide insurance for the children, including the difference between an “employee only” policy and an “employee plus children” policy .
  6. We need proof of any order for child support for any prior-born children, or proof of any maintenance paid to the other party.
  7. Finally, simply bring anything other documents you feel are relevant to helping us get a clear and accurate idea of your finances, debts, and liabilities.

Estate Planning Consult

Here is a list of all the documents you will need to bring with you to your initial consultation with us:

  1. We will also need documentation regarding income, expenses, assets and debts. These will include W2’s, 1099’s, year-end tax statements for any and all real estate and vehicles, bank statements, mortgage statements, loan statements and credit cards statements. We will need these documents from the last 3 years, or at least from the past calendar year. If you’re self-employed, we will need business records showing the income, assets and debts of the business, such as profit and loss statements, as well as all tax filings associated with the business.
  2. We also need proof of any investment accounts, retirement accounts, 401k plans, IRA’s or money market accounts.
  3. We need proof of any and all insurance policies, and the beneficiaries named in those policies.
  4. We will also need the name(s) and address(es) of any individual(s) to be named as Executor, Guardian, Trustee, or Power of Attorney.
  5. Finally, we need the names and addresses for one or two alternate individuals for each of the previously mentioned titles, if you so choose.
